About the role

As the Repair Technician for Medequip Assistive Technologies you will ensure all equipment is tested & repaired in line with Lifting Operations Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) as well as other regulations to the agreed specification and to the agreed performance, qualitative and financial targets

This role will require you to work flexibly to suit the needs of the business as well as being able to participate in an emergency on-call rota.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Servicing, maintaining and repairing equipment
  • Undertake risk assessments on activities relating to themselves, modifications, and fabrications
  • Using a weight rig to service and maintain hoists, which may involve some heavy lifting.
  • Being able to identify and report immediately any perceived safeguarding issues to your line manager
  • Adhering stringently to Medequip processes especially around loading and unloading of equipment.
  • Use of a scanner to complete jobs

Ensuring a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance and general cleanliness to comply with statutory and Company regulations, wearing company uniform as specified.

Qualifications and experience required.

  • Work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Ideally some experience in a similar role
