About the role

As the Service Engineer for Medequip Assistive Technology Ltd you will be responsible for ensuring all equipment is tested & repaired in line with Lifting Operations Lifting Equipment Regulations1998 (LOLER) as well as other regulation

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Servicing, maintaining, and repairing equipment in service users’ homes and on site
• Driving a large van and completing fully all the mandatory vehicle checks
• Delivering and collecting disability equipment to service users’ homes, hospitals, and health centres.
• Identifying the stock to be on the van and loading equipment in the van
• Multiple service jobs daily, some of which can be heavy
• Providing polite, empathetic and client focused service
• Undertake risk assessments
• Using a weight rig to service and maintain hoists
• Being able to identify and report immediately any perceived safeguarding issues
• Use of a scanner to complete jobs, competent in adding notes/comments
• Adhering to timeslots and liaising with service users if this is not possible.
• Being on call on a rotational basis receiving enhanced allowance during this period.

Qualifications and experience required.

• You must have a full UK driving licence (minimum of 3 years)
• Work well independently and as part of a team.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Be flexible with working days/hours to suit the needs of the business and participate in an emergency on-call rota.
