About the Role

As the HR Business Partner, you will be a trusted advisor to regional and local management teams, providing expert guidance across all HR and ER matters. You will manage complex casework, support business change, lead TUPE activity, and partner closely with stakeholders to drive engagement, capability and organisational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a key member of regional/local management teams
  • Partner with the business to design, deliver and review HR objectives aligned to business and regional strategies
  • Report on and achieve HR KPIs (engagement, attrition, absence, compliance)
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple locations
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, policies, and HR standards, reviewing and updating as needed
  • Lead and manage all day-to-day HR and ER matters including TUPE transfers, disciplinary, grievance, performance, and absence management
  • Hold monthly BIM meetings and HR clinics across all sites
  • Maintain effective communication channels across all depots and internal teams
  • Lead on recruiting and attracting talent to support current and future business needs
  • Deliver training and development initiatives to build capability and support succession planning
  • Coach and develop senior and middle managers to drive performance and engagement
  • Foster a positive, inclusive culture to boost engagement and reduce turnover
  • Lead or contribute to HR, business, and wellbeing projects
  • Manage all administrative tasks associated with the role
  • Visit regional locations regularly, providing in-person support as required
  • Undertake additional reasonable duties to meet business needs

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Experience as a HR Generalist or HR Business Partner
  • Strong ER background, including complex casework and TUPE
  • Recruitment experience (essential)
  • CIPD Level 5 or 7 (desirable)
  • Proven leadership qualities and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong stakeholder management, commercial awareness and business partnering experience
