Salary: £30,000 - £31,000 per annum plus bonus

About the role

As the Digital Content Product Manager for Medequip Assistive Technology Ltd you will be a detail-oriented, commercially astute Product Manager/Web Content Writer to manage and optimise product listings, develop our range, and ensure high-quality content for our Shopify Plus independent living and mobility aids website.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

         Product Content Management

  • Write, edit and upload product descriptions, specifications and guides.
  • Ensure content is accurate, accessible and SEO-optimised.
  • Gather product data and imagery from suppliers and teams.
  • Validate VAT-relief eligibility with suppliers.

    Shopify Plus Administration

  • Manage product listings, collections, tags, variants, GTINs and templates.
  • Work with developers and Web Dev Manager on features, schema, and Google Merchant Centre data.
  • Monitor catalogue performance and implement fixes.

    Product Strategy & Merchandising

  • Maintain product categorisation and navigation with SEO input.
  • Analyse user behaviour and sales to improve presentation and conversion.
  • Research competitors to identify gaps and opportunities.

    Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Ensure content meets brand, legal, accessibility, and compliance standards.
  • Coordinate with marketing, customer service, and external agencies.

Qualifications and experience required.

  • Experience in e-commerce content writing and product management.
  • Strong Shopify Plus skills, including custom themes and apps.
  • Knowledge of independent living or healthcare products desirable.
  • Excellent writing, SEO and accessibility skills.
  • Basic HTML/CSS and familiarity with SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs).
  • Agile, self-driven, people-focused, practical.
