Who are Medequip Connect?

Medequip Connect provide services to over 50,000 people nationwide with the objective of providing reassurance and support to older, disabled or vulnerable people allowing them to remain safely in their own home. 

We help people to maintain people’s independence by providing Technology Enabled Care (TEC) and a range of associated equipment that gives them the confidence of knowing that assistance is available at any time, 24 hours a day.  Our care technology services provide peace of mind to you, your family, and your friends.

About the role

As the Responder & Technician Team Leader for Medequip Connect, you will help drive improvement, develop best practice, and support the performance of our TEC Installation, Maintenance, and Response services. You will champion quality, customer satisfaction, staff development, and operational excellence, ensuring services are delivered effectively and safely in line with TSA Quality Standards, contract requirements, and company processes.

This role is central in developing a highly skilled, well-supported workforce and in maintaining a culture of continuous improvement and outstanding customer service.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Support day-to-day delivery of TEC operations, ensuring high-quality installation, maintenance, and response services.
  • Monitor KPIs to drive productivity, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and supervision of Technicians and Responders.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and support escalation of complaints or safeguarding concerns.
  • Oversee stock control, resource planning, rota management, and fleet compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to Health & Safety, environmental, quality, and data protection standards.
  • Keep accurate records, support payroll processes, and ensure staff training remains up to date

Qualifications and experience required.

  • Essential:
  • GCSEs (Maths & English or equivalent).
  • 1+ year experience in public, healthcare, TEC or service-based roles.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and ability to remain calm in pressured situations.
  • IT confident, organised, and able to work unsupervised.
  • Desirable:
  • Customer service/call centre experience.
  • Knowledge of TEC or the health & social care sector.
