About the role

As the Depot Supervisor for Medequip Assistive Technology Ltd you will supervise and control the provision of community equipment services to the agreed specification and to the agreed performance, qualitative and financial targets. You will assist the Operations Manager to drive the Company’s business strategy and profitability through the highest level of service provision and exceeding set internal and external KPI’s, whilst driving the best possible levels of productivity, efficiency and cost.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Ensure in line with your manager that the Company’s accountancy documentation and administration procedures are carried out and that the necessary weekly & monthly returns are completed accurately.
  • Ensure that all costs and expenditure are within the budgeted levels
  • Work with the purchasing team to maintain levels of stock to the agreed establishment targets.
  • Ensure that all paperwork, storage and stock counting are completed
  • Ensure that all returned special items are processed, photographed and uploaded to the company database
  • To follow the company goods receiving procedure and utilise the stores effectively
  • Oversee the timely flow of returned stock items through pre-cleaning, cleaning and workshop processes
  • To participate in monthly stocktakes.
  • HR management of Warehouse and Cleaning teams ensuring all company policies are proactively followed by Team Leaders and direct reports
  • To promote health & safety across the Depot,
  • To attend internal and external stakeholder meetings
  • To be an ambassador for Co-production and Community Engagement within the Depot, promoting initiatives for volunteering and joint working with other stakeholders

Qualifications and experience required.

  • Experience in a similar role previously is desirable
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues regardless of cultural, language background, age, health or personal circumstances (bereavement) with patience and dignity
  • IT literate and comfortable using IT
  • Ability to manage own workload and work unsupervised
