About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Specials Coordinator Apprentice to join our Warehouse team. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, hands-on, and interested in learning how specialist community equipment is managed, recycled and delivered to support people in their homes.

As a Specials Coordinator Apprentice, you will help manage non-standard equipment (“specials”), ensuring items are checked, catalogued, stored correctly and ready for reuse. You will work closely with warehouse teams, suppliers, prescribers and occupational therapists to coordinate equipment orders, repairs and deliveries.

What you’ll learn and support with:

  • Coordinating new and recycled specialist equipment
  • Checking equipment quality and ensuring items are complete
  • Photographing and cataloguing equipment for the online system
  • Liaising with suppliers, prescribers and internal teams
  • Supporting equipment repairs and warranty checks
  • Helping ensure stock is stored safely and correctly
  • Occasionally assisting with equipment deliveries or collections

What we’re looking for:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English
  • Good communication and organisation skills
  • Basic IT skills and confidence using systems/devices
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a warehouse environment
