About the role

As the Account Manager for Medequip Assistive Technology Ltd you will be responsible for building excellent relationships with a number of our customers, adding value to the contracts whilst developing business and margin enhancing opportunities. Customer retention is the overriding goal

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Support the Operations Manager in delivering contractual KPIs and service standards
  • Monitor performance data (KPIs & 4C’s) and ensure actions are implemented to address risks  
  • Produce accurate monthly and ad-hoc reports for commissioners and internal stakeholders
  • Build strong relationships with commissioners, clinical teams, and key stakeholders
  • Attend and lead regular contract review meetings
  • Ensure clear communication, ownership, and follow-up of all agreed actions
  • Understand contract charging mechanisms and support invoice accuracy
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and increase value
  • Support RPI uplifts and contribute to contract sustainability
  • Develop and maintain a live Account Plan aligned to contract priorities
  • Identify and deliver service improvements and added value initiatives
  • Support opportunities for contract growth and service expansion
  • Work closely with depot teams to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Conduct regular site visits and validation checks
  • Act as a key link between Operations, Finance, IT, Quality, and Business Development
  • Lead co-production initiatives across the contract
  • Strengthen engagement with service users, community groups, and partners
  • Support initiatives that increase social value and community impact

Qualifications and experience required.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a public sector, healthcare, or service-based environment
  • Strong account management and relationship-building skills
  • Commercial awareness with an understanding of budgets and contract performance
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to analyse data, identify risks, and drive actions to completion
  • Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Enhanced DBS (refreshed every 3 years)
