Who are Medequip Connect?

Medequip Connect provide services to over 50,000 people nationwide with the objective of providing reassurance and support to older, disabled or vulnerable people allowing them to remain safely in their own home. 

We help people to maintain people’s independence by providing Technology Enabled Care (TEC) and a range of associated equipment that gives them the confidence of knowing that assistance is available at any time, 24 hours a day.  Our care technology services provide peace of mind to you, your family, and your friends.

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and innovative Technology Enabled Care (TEC) Coordinator to join our Medequip Connect team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering digital transformation within Adult Social Care and Health services.

You will provide expert guidance on assistive technologies, supporting service users through person-centred assessments, installation, reviews, and ongoing support. You will also work closely with professionals and stakeholders to embed technology into care strategies and improve outcomes.

Strategic

  • Identify and implement assistive technology solutions aligned with strategic TEC partnerships.
  • Work collaboratively with Adult Social Care teams to embed technology into care planning.
  • Support innovation and continuous improvement in TEC services to ensure future-ready solutions.

Operational

  • Conduct holistic, needs-based TEC assessments and design tailored assistive technology packages.
  • Deliver demonstrations and training to professionals and stakeholders.
  • Provide technical advice and ongoing support to service users and their networks.
  • Monitor, review, and analyse TEC packages to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records using internal systems for referrals, installations, and tracking.
  • Support the rollout of TEC programmes across multiple regions.
  • Promote digital and mobile-based assistive technologies (apps, tablets, web systems).
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to support innovation and service delivery.
  • Contribute to documentation, procedures, and best practices.
  • Support awareness campaigns, events, and initiatives to increase service uptake.
  • Ensure effective maintenance, troubleshooting, and escalation of TEC solutions.
  • Produce performance reports, KPI data, and outcome evaluations.
  • Deliver excellent customer care to maximise service user benefits.

Financial & Risk Management

  • Assist in evaluating new technologies for commercial viability and compliance.
  • Support cost-effective delivery of TEC solutions in collaboration with care teams.

Administration

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across internal systems.
  • Produce reports aligned with organisational KPIs and service requirements.
  • Support data management and reporting for TEC services.

Special Conditions

  • Occasional attendance at meetings outside normal working hours.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours when required (overtime or TOIL provided).
  • Regular travel to meetings and events (access to a suitable vehicle required).
  • Flexibility to support colleagues and adjust working hours when needed.

Qualifications and experience required.

           Essential Skills & Knowledge

  • Excellent communication skills with a person-centred approach.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation abilities.
  • High level of IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office and database systems.
  • Understanding of GDPR and data confidentiality.

    Desirable Skills & Knowledge

  • Experience with assistive technology, telecare, or digital care solutions.
  • Knowledge of care assessment processes and care plan reviews.

    Experience

  • Experience working collaboratively in a professional environment.
  • Ability to work independently across a wide geographical area.

    Qualifications

  • GCSEs, NVQ, or equivalent experience (essential).
  • Relevant IT or Health & Social Care qualifications (desirable).

    Other Requirements

  • Willingness to work flexibly and attend meetings, events, and conferences as required.
