About the role
As the Warehouse and Cleaning Apprentice for Medequip Assistive Technology Ltd you will support the efficient operation of the warehouse, ensuring high standards of stock management, housekeeping and cleaning, whilst developing your skills through a recognised apprenticeship programme.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Learning and developing a wide range of warehouse skills and operational processes.
- Working independently and as part of a team to complete warehouse tasks and contribute to departmental objectives.
- Successfully completing the Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship.
- Learning and applying health and safety requirements within the workplace.
- Developing the skills required to construct or modify apparatus and community equipment.
- Learning how to maintain workshop equipment and keep it in good working order.
- Maintaining an apprenticeship logbook to record projects undertaken and skills acquired.
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping throughout the warehouse, workshop and specialist areas.
- Supporting stock management activities in line with company standards.
- Maintaining a smart appearance and acting professionally at all times.
- Carrying out any other reasonable duties appropriate to the role.

Qualifications and experience required
- GCSE standard including Maths and English, minimum Grade C/4 or equivalent (Desirable)
- Minimum of 1 year's experience in a public, healthcare or service-based environment (Desirable)
- Full UK Driving Licence (Desirable)
- Minimum age of 21 years (Desirable)
- A minimum of 3 years driving experience with no more than 3 penalty points (Desirable)
- Ability to safely drive and navigate a large van (Desirable)
- Demonstrably safe driving history (Desirable)
- Smart, professional appearance and polite manner (Esssential)
- Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills (Essential)
- Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience and remain calm under pressure (Essential)
- IT literate and comfortable using electronic devices (Essential)
- Physically capable of undertaking manual handling and heavy lifting activities (Essential)
- Organised and able to follow agreed processes (Essential)
- Ability to manage workload and work with minimal supervision (Desirable)
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work (Desirable)
