About the role

As the Warehouse Team Leader for Medequip Assistive Technology Ltd you will support the effective day-to-day running of the warehouse operation and lead our team of Warehouse and Cleaning Operatives, ensuring colleagues operate in an efficient and safe manner whilst providing daily support and guidance to maximise output. You will ensure equipment, stock and depot processes are managed safely, efficiently and to a high standard, compliance records are maintained, stock control procedures are followed, and the depot continues to deliver a safe, organised and responsive service for clients.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to our Warehouse and Cleaning Operatives
  • Leading through demonstration, show and assist our Operatives how to effectively maintain the warehouse
  • Lead on depot compliance requirements, ensuring compliance records are accurately maintained, regularly reviewed and kept up to date
  • Scanning returned equipment into the correct area prior to cleaning.
  • Ensuring all stock control processes are followed at all times and all items are in the correct location.
  • Booking new stock in and barcoding appropriately
  • Photographing non-stock equipment and competently adding them to the online catalogue with the correct description
  • Occasional visits to clients’ houses and assisting in the delivery and collection of equipment, maintaining an empathetic and professional manner at all times
  • Unloading delivery vehicles in a safe and competent manner
  • Use of a scanner to move stock and pick items of equipment for deliveries
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the Warehouse at all times, demonstrating this to the Warehouse Operatives in order to maintain company best practices
  • Undertake other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business

Qualifications and experience required.

  • Ideally some experience in a similar team leader level role
  • The successful candidate must be competent and comfortable with extensive manual handling
  • Be flexible with working days/hours to suit the needs of the business
  • Attend an annual appraisal with your Line Manager and take ownership of your agreed training and development needs
  • Attend company training courses and operational meetings as requested
